Water is a very vital part of growing strong plants. The water transports nutrients to the rest of the plant via roots and needs to be high quality and have the correct P.H levels so the plant can reach its maximum potential growth rate.

P.H
The P.H level of the water indicates how acidic or alkaline the water is. On the P.H scale 1 is very acidic and 12 is very alkaline with 6 being neutral. A P.H test kit is needed if you plan to use tap water as it is not good anoth for growing cannabis. A grower should aim for P.H levels of 5.5-6.5.

Hard water
Perhaps you have on occasion noticed mineral deposits on your cooking dishes, or rings of insoluble soap scum in your bathtub. These are not signs of poor housekeeping, but are rather signs of hard water from the municipal water supply. Hard water is water that contains cations with a charge of +2, especially Ca2+ and Mg2+. These ions do not pose any health threat, but they can engage in reactions that leave insoluble mineral deposits. These deposits can make hard water unsuitable for many uses, and so a variety of means have been developed to "soften" hard water; i.e.,remove the calcium and magnesium ions.

Hard water is unsuitable for growing cannabis and most tap water is hard water. If you must use tap water leave it to sit for a few days so the chlorine ect evaporates.

Distilled water
Distilled water is water which has been heated to the boiling point so that impurities are separated from the water, which becomes vapor or steam at 212 degrees Fahrenheit(100C.). Steam is then cooled and condensed back into pure liquid form. The impurities remain as residue in the steam kettle(to be periodically removed). This distillation system removes waterborne biological contaminants such as bacteria, parasites and viruses, organic and inorganic chemicals, heavy metals, volatile gasses, cysts, and other contaminants. Pure water contains no solids, minerals, or trace elements. It is clean, natural, and healthy. Steam distilled water is the standard by which all other waters are measured.

distilled water is perfect for growing cannabis.
